We all know that "the task" is always easier than "the people" we manage. Why? Human beings are difficult because we share distinct differences in behaviors, values, working styles and ways of problem solving. Middle managers often find it challenging to inspire subordinates to share vision and goals at the same time, to manage boss’ expectations.
The Enneagram is a research-based personality inventory adopted by established institutions such as the Stanford Medical School and Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern. It is also a widely used training tool for companies like Apple, HP, P&G and Disney. Different from other “behavior-based” tools, the Enneagram drives deep into the intrinsic motivation of a personality-- providing us with a roadmap to navigate through communication styles of each type from the very core. It allows you to discover the strengths and weaknesses of your colleagues and offers you effective method for improving individual and team performance. It also allows us to look beyond the surface and gain a more empathetic understanding of why people react the way they do. For managers, it is a blueprint for our own sustainable growth.
During this 1-day workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify the key strength and weakness of each personality type
- Use the personality insights to develop a healthy relationship compatible with your team's working style and expectations
- Work with your supervisor more effectively by addressing their top concerns
- Maximize team efficiency by crafting a unique role in which each personality type can excel at
- Manage and communicate more fluidly and efficiently across departments
- Navigate difficult conversations
